Xiong Gangru

Xiong Gangru, born in 1941 in Fengcheng City, Jiangxi Province, graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jingdezhen Ceramic University. He is a Chinese master of arts and crafts, a ceramic research scientist, and enjoys the “Government Special Allowance” awarded by the State Council. He is a member of the judging committee for the first China Ceramic Art Master of the China Ceramic Association. He serves as a visiting professor and a master’s supervisor at Jingdezhen Ceramic University. He is also a judge for the fifth China Arts and Crafts Master and has received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Chinese Ceramic Art and Design Education.
